This month, I returned to the basics.

I gave myself permission to create without expectations—to make messy sketches, unfinished ideas, and drawings that were never meant to become finished artworks. Just space to explore, to follow my curiosity, and to listen to whatever inspiration wanted to emerge.

Instead of chasing results, I focused on the process. On putting pencil to paper and allowing ideas to unfold naturally.

I’ve been feeling a lot of love, connection, and openness lately, and somehow that found its way into these pages. Looking back at these sketches, I can see traces of that energy woven throughout.

A reminder that not everything we create needs to be polished or perfect. Sometimes the most valuable work happens in the quiet exploration between ideas. 🤍

In 2023 was ik finalist van het TV-Programma ‘De Nieuwe Vermeer’ in de aflevering ‘De drie Maria’s’. Wat een reis was dat!

Deze week had ik de eer om dit mooie kunstwerk over te dragen aan de Johannes de Doper kerk in Hoofddorp. Het kunstwerk is permanent tentoongesteld in het Parochiehuis, het kloppende hart voor deze kerk.

Ter ere van Pasen en het Paasfeest zal ik terugdenken aan het verhaal wat dit kunstwerk weergeeft. Namelijk het verhaal van de Drie Maria’s aan het graf van Jezus Christus. Daar waar Jezus Christus is opgestaan uit de dood.🕊️
