Thank you for your interest in a commissioned artwork by Maxime Velthuis.
Every commission begins with a story, your story. Whether it is a feeling, a memory, a place, or a dream, Maxime will listen carefully and translate it into a unique artwork you can cherish for many years to come. She puts her energy, her heart, and her soul into every piece she creates.
How to order a commission?
Requesting a price list for commissioned artworks is completely free of charge.
However if you are sure to take further steps into the proces of a commissioned work, please ask to schedule an appointment with me so we can turn your ideas into a work of art.
During this meeting, I will offer advice on a number of points that are both useful and necessary when designing the desired artwork. The questions as summed below can be a guideline to build the concept of your desired artwork. After the conversation I will create a digital design. For this digital design and the time spend in terms of a conversation, €50 will be charged. This payment is non-refundable and will be included in the final invoice once the application for a work of art has been officially submitted. If you decide not to proceed with the application for a work of art, a separate charge of €50 will be invoiced.

We are still so happy with the artwork we had made and receive many compliments on it. We were fully involved throughout the creative process, and communication was excellent. We were always able to share our thoughts on color and size. The collaboration was wonderful, and the paintings still look as good as new.

We were looking for something new for the wall in our bedroom and approached Maxime to help us think about what would work. She got into conversation with us straight away and came to our home to take in the space, absorbing the room, the light, the furniture, the colors, the scale, the style, and everything in between. She listened carefully to what we had in mind. We knew we didn't want anything abstract on the wall, but what we did want was the big question.
Maxime took all of those elements home with her and began thinking about a theme, a shape, and possible color combinations. After giving her creative process the space it needed, she put an idea down on paper and presented it to us. We agreed, and from that moment on, there was a constant conversation to develop the concept further.
Once the first digital sketches were ready, we approved the design, and Maxime began work on the piece. Even then, the interaction continued. She gave her creative mind the freedom it needed, and we allowed her the space to use it. Whenever she faced a question about color or about a detail, she brought it to us so she could move forward with our input. Since the painting was made at a distance, that ongoing communication made all the difference. Maxime is a natural communicator, and it shows. We were kept involved throughout the entire process with no surprises, while still leaving room for Maxime to bring her own interpretation to the work.
The result speaks for itself. A beautiful painting that we are truly happy with. Crafted with great care by Maxime, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to others.
