Looking for an inspiring and relaxing creative activity?
I run art workshops at a venue of your choice, focusing on creativity, self-expression and fun.
Workshop: Making a sketchbook with texture pastes
In this workshop, you’ll create a unique and personal sketchbook by decorating and painting the cover with various texture pastes.
After the workshop, you can use your sketchbook for all sorts of creative purposes, such as:
Writing poems

Sketching and drawing

Keeping a diary
-
Preserving and drying flowers
-
Making a small photo album
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced creative types, and for anyone aged 6 and older.
Workshop: Abstract landscape painting
In this painting workshop, you’ll design and create your own abstract landscape. You’ll experiment with colour, composition, texture and form to create a personal work of art. There’s plenty of scope for your own ideas and creative expression.
Practical information
Workshops can be held at a venue of your choice. I will bring all the necessary materials to the workshop venue. The workshop therefore includes light refreshments, personalised instruction and a smile.
Workshop fee: €35 per person, including VAT.
Travel costs: Travel costs to the workshop venue are calculated separately and added to the total price.

Private art lessons for children
As an artist, I strongly believe in Albert Einstein’s famous quote: “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” To me, this means that a child’s natural imagination is one of their greatest gifts; something that deserves be nurtured and protected.
During private drawing lessons, children receive personal guidance in a creative and encouraging environment. By drawing, exploring ideas and expressing themselves freely, they strengthen their imagination, (self)confidence and ability to think creatively. These skills not only contribute to their well-being today, but will also support them in their future education and careers.
Because as the imagination grows, so do the possibilities.
My goal is to help each child develop their unique creative voice, whilst enjoying the process of making art. The lessons focus on developing creativity, self-confidence and artistic skills. Each lesson is tailored to the child’s age, interests and abilities.
Lessons are taught in both Dutch and English, making them accessible to a wide range of children. The lessons are aimed at children aged 6 and over.
Cost: €25 per hour, including VAT.

What new skills or techniques has Jane learned?
Which tools you can use for blending and which pencils and erasers you use. Watercolor techniques and drawing with a grid. Using different materials such as graphite and charcoal. Mixing colors with different materials.
Is Jane encouraged in a positive and patient way?
Absolutely. Jane feels that even if she can’t do something yet or hasn’t mastered it, she can achieve it with practice.
Did Jane quickly feel at ease in the classroom?
Yes, definitely.
How is our communication regarding progress and arrangements going?
Maxime always explains in detail what they’ve done in class and how Jane can improve her skills; she also provides positive feedback on what Jane has accomplished so far. Furthermore, Maxime is flexible and works with you to find solutions if you have questions or run into any challenges.
Has Jane’s confidence in creating art grown so far?
Absolutely. Jane feels free to say when she finds something difficult, but she also looks forward to the lessons to see how she can improve. You can also tell that, even though she’s only had a few lessons, she now views art differently and is finding new challenges to tackle on her own. Maxime’s enthusiasm has contributed enormously to this.

Maxime is an enthusiastic artist who clearly enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with the child she teaches. She takes the time to encourage the child to feel free in what they create. At the same time, she’s good at keeping the child engaged in the lesson and effectively conveying the material. As a parent, I now see just how much goes into “making a drawing.” Jane is super enthusiastic about every lesson, so we’re extremely pleased.

Creating shadows and highlights, and working with different materials, such as pastels, oil paint, and ink.
Was Lola encouraged in a positive and patient way?
Yes, if Lola didn’t like something she’d done, Maxime would point out what she did like about it, and that gave Lola the confidence to keep working.
Did Lola quickly feel at ease in the classroom?
Yes, very much so. Maxime made sure the atmosphere was cozy, with something to drink and some snacks. She’s also incredibly kind, which helped Lola feel at ease right away.
How did our communication regarding progress and arrangements go?
Maxime is clear in her communication and flexible whenever possible and/or necessary.
Has Lola’s confidence in creating art grown?
Yes, she immediately wanted to make more art. She also now refers to it as “art” instead of “drawing” or “painting.”
